Comparison of the outputs of one solar panel to another: notice how the voltage output is the about the same for each panel, but the mA output varies significantly.

The AEZ Solar CD

A solar panel from a surplus roadside flasher unit (Thanks to Mike for sending this to me)

Reading the mA for the Solar CD under a bright halogen desk lamp (Note: the mA would be much higher out in the sun)

Reading the mA for the flasher solar panel under the same desk lamp

Reading the voltage of the Solar CD under the desk lamp

Reading the voltage of the flasher solar panel under the same desk lamp
Note: these readings were done "no load"...meaning that the multimeter was hooked directly to the solar panels. For a load reading, you would want to place the meter in the circuit.
